Rising singer-songwriter, and British actress Eliza Bennett released her new single “Hate to Love You” today. The pop infused track is available on all digital and streaming platforms now. Listen to the new track HERE.
Written by Bennett and produced by Andy Mak and Thom Mak, “Hate to Love You” boasts infectious pop-hooks that lay atop a beautiful array of instrumentation. Bennett’s breathless and compelling vocals capture the song’s rawness. Lyrically, taking listeners through the journey of moving somewhere new, and the trials and tribulations of feeling engulfed by a city. The song reflects the love/hate relationship she faced moving from a small town in England to Los Angeles and how LA became the ‘bad boyfriend she couldn’t leave’.
“Hate to Love You” is the first single off of Bennett’s upcoming EP titled “Late Twenties,” which will feature 5 tracks written by her that encompass the cornerstones of her last decade. Bennett is no stranger to the music scene having built up a music library of her own, including the song “My Declaration” for the soundtrack of 2008’s Inkheart (in which she starred opposite Brendan Fraser) and most recently the single “Metal Heart” in 2020, to name a few.
Bennett currently stars in the final season of the CW series DYNASTY, which streams internationally on Netflix on September 24th. Coming up, Bennett can be seen in Netflix’s dark comedy Do Revenge, alongside a stellar cast and directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, which will be released on September 16th. She is currently in production in the UK on Paramount +’s drama series SEXY BEAST.
“Hate to Love You” marks the first of multiple singles to be released this year. Get the single HERE and for more info, please follow Bennett on her social channels below.
