PREMIERE: Elsewhere Releases New Single “Restless”

Until recently, Boston-based prog leaning alt/power-pop/new wave trio Elsewhere had been best known for their single “Don’t You Believe Me Baby” – a dynamic cover of a previously unrecorded early 80’s Police song. That atypical release helped the band generate over half a million streams on Spotify and score a full-page story in the Boston Herald; forever tying the band to Sting & Co. (at least regionally). This was soon followed up by the “banthem” (ballad/anthem) “The Pledge”, mixed by Grammy Nominated producer Mark Needham (The Killers, Imagine Dragons, Pink, Elton John), which broke important ground by tackling the often-taboo subject of Alzheimer’s Disease. Now the artist and VENTS are joining for his new single “Restless,” a gritty, energetic rock anthem of a song that blows your socks off from the very opening with a song that in many ways feels like a heavier version of Duran Duran.

Aroian comments “Chapter 1, Restless represents the beginning of our prog rock leaning epic “Life…is a Fraction” The track projects the protagonist’s state of mind and frustration with things in his or her life not materializing as originally planned. In a way, this character has not fully self-actualized as they are waiting for something to happen in their life versus seizing and optimizing opportunities. At the same time, this person also notices that time is moving by quicker, but they are not exactly sure why…What does Chapter 2 reveal?”
