Sleeptalk Drops A New Album Drown In A Rainbow And Its A Hit

Sleeptalk Drops A New Album Drown In A Rainbow And It’s A Hit!

With a powerful glowing sound, Sleeptalk is going to bring dance to the dancefloor. The hook and chorus are downright captivating and energetic in “Dripping Colors”, the featured song off their second full-length album, Drown in a Rainbow.

The vocals are pristine and so excellent but keep the band’s strong indie roots and they don’t give up any of the previous “Sleeptalk” sound we’ve come to know, but at the same time, they bring so much more to the table creatively. I loved the lyrical composition, and this supporting track is clean and driven while still feeling chill.  The guitar solo has a killer feel with a spot cut out in the song that left us with a taste of old-school rock and roll that I loved. Beats bass and guitar are cleanly mixed with a great dance feel. I think the visuals and the sound are blended and delivered excellently and Sleeptalk got a bullseye with this release.

A quintet, Anthony Fitzpatrick, Justin Melchor, Jason Fitzpatrick, Paul McGill, and Malik Dugan, Sleeptalk has grown by leaps and bounds over the years. Over the course of 2021 in Joshua Tree, CA. the band created their full-length album. The band says, “A lot of the inspiration came from sleeping in an RV day in and day out in the middle of nowhere with just the homies and no time constraints. We were able to really experiment in a multitude of sounds and tones that really played a big part in the album.”

Sleeptalk is not new to the stage. They have opened for artists such as Twenty One Pilots and played sold-out shows throughout the Los Angeles area as they grew into the burgeoning LA indie-pop scene. For years they have been a part of KROQs “Locals Only” rotation.

If you’re in LA this weekend you can catch them live on June 10th at the venue 1720 with Jason Butler of Fever 333 and Aaron Gillespie of Underoath – located at 1720 E. 16th St LA 90021.

A band definitely worth keeping your ears to, you can keep up with Sleeptalk here:
