We caught up with the emcee and got to learn about his music and the man behind the music. On both fronts, he’s raw, real, and impressive. In our conversation, we learned about how he got here and where he is focused on going.

To get started, here is what Carlito told us about his mission as a musician.
“I want to be viewed as a leading voice to the Florida Rap/Trap sound. A wave of Florida Artists has come to the forefront and. I want to be a champion as Miami’s newest top talent. I want to remain independent and maintain a raw uncensored relationship with my following.”
Hi goals to put on for his area, connect with his fans, and do it his way are all inspiring ones. On the artists that inspire and influence him, here is who he mentioned to us.
“Kodak Black, Gunplay, Rick Ross, & Brisco.”
That’s a heavy-hitting group. While it’s good to have influences, Carlito is an artist that has also focused on creating his own unique sound. When we asked him what makes his sound different, this is what he told us.
“My delivery is aggressive and unorthodox but authentic to the Florida flavor. What makes me difference is the wordplay I put into that type of delivery style.”
That wordplay and original style are showcased on a track like ‘Murda Gardens Freestyle’, which Carlito referenced as his favorite track that he’s written to this point.
Those same qualities are on full display in the song ‘No Pwess’ and the visuals for it.
This track is energetic, catchy, and it’s full of clever lines. It’s easy to understand how it’s already surpassed 60,000 views in less than a month.
Carlito Black has all the makings of growing star in the music industry. He’s got a plan, great music, and he has that star quality. We asked him what was on the horizon for him.
“I’m dropping new, music new visuals, and doing a Promo tour.”
With each new release we expect to see his popularity and following grow, and we already know that’s the goal for him.
