Chance Cessna Teases First Single

Chicago-born entrepreneur and artist Chance Cessna teases her first single and break out into the music industry. “I found music during a time in my life where I felt the most lost. I was in a season where I wasn’t sure which way my career was going to go and I almost felt like giving up. She continues. “I recorded my first song in the closet at my dad’s house on my MacBook computer in 2019. I played it for him in the car and he was literally shocked. He loved it. And my dad is usually super hard to please. The next day he called a producer who happened to be one of Chance the Rapper’s producers at the time. My dad arranged a time for me to meet with the producer and I was in the studio the same week. I was so nervous because I had never done music before. However something about it just felt right and I felt so free and so liberated when I did it. I ended up never releasing the music. I just held on to it in my files waiting for the right time.” “Music is about you” Chance continues. “It’s about expressing who you are and the messages you want to gift to the world. It’s not about award shows, stardom, and topping the charts for me. It’s about being able to create a soundtrack that is in rhythm with my own life and energy and giving people something real and true.” Chance Cessna’s first single “Win” drops this Friday, May 13th along with the official music video and fans are anxiously anticipating the release. Chance recorded her first single on her recent trip to Egypt. “I was in Egypt recently for a business speaking engagement. During the time I was there we did ATV rides. Unfortunately I got into an accident while driving my ATV and hit two concrete city walls and nearly flew off my bike in Cairo. I cut and injured both my feet and had bruises all over my legs. I was seen by a nurse and had to go on bed rest in my hotel room for a day. So while I was on bed rest, I started to hear lyrics come to my head. I wasn’t planning on writing any music, but I got a notebook and started writing. I found the perfect beat and downloaded a music recording app on my phone. I recorded the song and shot the music video (my first ever) all on my iPhone. What I think people will love most about my new single is the rawness of it, the authenticity, and the message behind it.” Follow @CEOChanceCessna on Instagram and stayed tuned for the official release of her new single “Win” which debuts Friday, May 13th.
