Narrated Abu Musa al-Ash’ari:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Glorifying Allah involves showing honour to a grey-haired Muslim and to one who can expound the Qur’an, but not to one who acts extravagantly it, or turns away from it, and showing honour to a just ruler.
(Sunan Abi Dawud 4843)

That the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “The one who memorized the Qur’an shall come on the Day of Judgment and (the reward for reciting the Qur’an) says: ‘O Lord! Decorate him.” So he is donned with a crown of nobility. Then it says: ‘O Lord! Give him more!’ So he is donned with a suit of nobility. Then it says: “O Lord! Be pleased with him.’ So He is pleased with him and says: “Recite and rise, and be increased in reward with every Ayah.”(Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2915)
Quran memorization raises your status
True wealth exists in Jannah where you’ll have no boundaries. Allah raises the status of hafiz-e-Quran.
Whoever memorizes the Quran will be asked to “recite and rise” the level of paradise. The more Hafiz would recite the holy Quran, the more he would be able to raise his status and reach the highest level of Jannah- the Jannat-ul-Firdous.
Jannat-ul-Firdous is uniquely designed by Allah for his most beloved people such as Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his companions. We can’t reach their status but we can pray to Allah to make us close to them.
Narrated ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr:
That the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “It shall be said – meaning to the one who memorized the Qur’an – ‘Recite, and rise up, recite (melodiously) as you would recite in the world. For indeed your rank shall be at the last Ayah you recited.”
(Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2914)
