Jos Buttler becoming T20 megastar

English Cricketer Jos Butter is having one of his best IPL seasons in this TATA IPL 2022. Experts are comparing his current form to Virat Kohli’s 2016 IPL form.

This 31-year-old Englishman is representing  Rajasthan Royals this year and if we look at his stats it is evident that he has been a winning factor for this team. In seven T20 Indian Premier League matches, he has slammed three centuries and two half-centuries. With a strike rate of 161.51 and an average of 81.83 runs per innings, Joseph is at the top of the list of Orange Cap Holders followed by KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya.

Having most runs in his bag specialists believe Jos can break Virat Kohli’s IPL record of 973 runs in one single season.

Statistics say if Jos keeps up the form he can become the first-ever player in the history of IPL to ever strike 1000 runs.

RR coach Kumar Sangakkara remarked “He’s been excellent, the best T20 opener in the world,” about Jos Buttler’s recent form.

Looks like Jos’ form has only gotten better in the last few years. In T20 International matches, Jos played about 80 games for England with an average of 34.52 runs per innings. In a 20 overs match against Sri Lanka Jos recorded his highest runs of 101* in international cricket on the Sharjah Cricket ground.

Jos Buttler secured Rajasthan Royals’ win against Delhi Capitals by his opening partnership of 115 runs within Devdutt Padikkal. This RR opener has 32 over boundaries and 41 boundaries in seven matches, by which he scored two consecutive centuries 116(65) vs Delhi and 103(61) vs Kolkata.

His three tons in this IPL year include 116, 103, and 100. The last two uninterrupted centuries were slammed in against Delhi and Kolkata.

Former England player Kevin Peterson broke his silence on Buttler’s knock and he praised Jos saying that he is the best T20 batter at this time. He also applauded his pals’ calm and collected nature.

“Jos Buttler has made a fabulous start to the IPL. He’s the best T20 batter in the world at the moment, by a mile. His array of shots and his execution of shots is unmatched, but I also love his calmness and his presence of mind in the middle,” IPL commentator Kevin Pietersen wrote in his column to Betway.

“They are very calm and very calculated, and then have phenomenal shot-making and ball-striking,” Kevin said about both Jos and KL Rahul.

Jos Buttler was previously dropped from England’s Test team and Kevin referred to the break saying players can perhaps be burnt out and out of form without a break and to him, Jos certainly benefited from the well-needed break he had.

Not just Kevin Peterson the RR fans are also busy appreciating Jos on social media and cricket grounds.
