Ranking Every Episode Of Season 7 Of ’30 Rock’

Here we are. The seventh and final season of 30 Rock. Does the show end on an upswing? Will this be the season that solidifies this as a great sitcom to me? Or will I maybe be downgrading this show in my mind? Right now, it’s on the fence. The seventh season will decide things. Let’s get to my rankings of every episode from this season.

13. “Florida”

12. “Governor Dunston”

11. “Aunt Phatso vs. Jack Donaghy”

10. “Stride of Pride”

9. “A Goon’s Deed in a Weary World”

8. “There’s No I in America”

7. “The Beginning of the End”

6. “Unwindulax”

5. “Game Over”

4. “My Whole Life is Thunder”

3. “Hogcock!”

2. “Last Lunch”

1. “Mazel Tov, Dummies!”

OK, this may be the season that elevates 30 Rock to greatness. The show really went out on a high note. There are a few episodes that are middling, but all in all this is a very-good season of TV. “Mazel Tov, Dummies!” is maybe my favorite episode of 30 Rock. “Last Lunch” is a great series finale. I’d say there are nine or 10 strong episodes in the seventh and final season of this sitcom.

Perhaps 30 Rock is not quite on the level I had in my memory. That being said, it’s still a great show. It’s more a show that kept itself at a level of being very good for seven seasons in a row. It’s the show that’s consistently a B+, so all in all it gets an “A” in my book. Is 30 Rock the best NBC sitcom? I used to think that it was a definite contender, but now I am less sure about that. Still, this is a great sendoff to the show.

The less said about that pandemic special that was a Peacock ad, the better.
