More About Ana Egge
Ana Egge had a sort of unconventional childhood where she was raised in a combination of a small North Dakota Farmhouse, a bus on California Coast, and a hot springs commune in New Mexico. With not so much of an easy childhood, Ana always had always had a determination to make a life for herself that will be fulfilling and cherishing. Somewhere in between her struggles she found music and never looked back.
Egge made a promising debut and has since worked with many remarkable producers like Martin Terefe, Jason Mercer, Joel Plaskett, and many more. She has also recorded full albums with The Stray birds and the Sentimentals. Ana has had quite an astonishing musical journey and has always carved out her own path in life and in her career.
Her first album, River under the road which was released in 1997 was recorded with the legendary western swing band, Asleep at the wheel. She was named as the best singer/songwriter and best folk artist at the Austin Music Awards. Her single “we are one”, which she co-wrote with Gary Nicholson had over five million spotify spins. Her album, White Tiger, was called wonderful by RnR.
Egge released her eleventh album, Is It The Kiss in 2019, which gives you a new set of originals from Ana Egge that comes with the same soulful and honest quality to mesmerise the audience and gain appreciation for her talent.
Now living in the sunset park in Brooklyn with her wife and daughter, Ana is still very much in touch with her musical life and is still keen on delivering the same magic on stage as she has been for decades.
