As television transitions into the COVID epoch of the late-period streaming age, things have changed.
Out expectations towards the TV shows that were once popular are not so much in the headlines right now because they took so much time to release the next season.
We agree that major programs can premiere at any time, returning shows can spend months to years without new episodes, and projects that have been inactive for a long time can be resurrected by a parent company’s streaming subsidiary.
But, as 2022 began, we dove into the new wave of TV shows, and there are a few ones we can’t wait to watch this spring.
We will get on with the list soon enough, but if you don’t have subscriptions to their streaming platforms, don’t worry because you can always download them from the pirate bay.
Now, let’s start the list:
1: Starstruck Season 2
In season two of this laugh-out-loud comedy, Jessie and movie star Tom finally take the leap into a relationship that is anything but happily ever after, after a New Year’s Eve meet-cute blossomed into a yearlong affair in season one.
The ‘will-they-won’t-they’ plot has been refocused on can Jessie and Tom’s abilities to deal with the various challenges in their relationship.
It includes exes who keep coming back to their lives, work trips, inquisitive friends, judgmental peers, and so many people that we have been waiting for season 2 for many months now.
&
We are glad it’s finally arriving.
2: Moon Knight
Moon Knight appears to be thrillingly strange from the start, even if it’s a Disney+ series.
The series’ hallucinogenic style comes from filmmakers like Justin Benson, Mohamed Diab, and Aaron Moorhead, who play Marc Spector, a mercenary with dissociative identity disorder who becomes possessed by an Egyptian god.
We also think that the Moon Knight is set to appear in future Marvel Cinematic Universe films, so here’s a TV show you can’t get enough of.
3: Tokyo Vice
With Tokyo Vice, filmmaker Michael Mann returns to television after decades of creating the blockbusters hits and neglected gems.
Tokyo Vice stars Rinko Kikuchi, Ken Watanabe, and Ansel Elgort and is based on American writer Jake Adelstein’s book of the same name.
The premiere will be directed by Mann.
But, if we’re lucky, we’ll get some gorgeously crafted images of men middle-gazing into the distance, weighing the weight of their decisions.
4: A Black Lady Sketch Show Season 3
Ending a season on a cliffhanger is a little unusual for a sketch comedy show.
However, much like it did at the end of its first season, A Black Lady Sketch Show ended its second season with the audience guessing.
Who has been spying on our favorite characters in their post-apocalyptic hideaway?
We’ll have to wait till the third season to find out.
5: Anatomy Of A Scandal
David E. Kelley is writing about Brits this time!
Sienna Miller portrays the wife of a minister in Parliament in this Netflix limited series based on Sarah Vaughan’s novel, while Rupert Friend plays her husband, who has a shocking secret, which is something men always have.
Anyways, jokes apart!
Meanwhile, prosecutor Michelle Dockery is up against Miller’s family, and you’ll see how incredible the judicial system in the United Kingdom is.
6: Russian Doll Season 2
Russian Doll premiered on Netflix in 2019 and depicted a universe in which Nadia becomes trapped in a time loop on the night of her 36th birthday.
After a period in which many New Yorkers felt as if they were repeating the same strange day, the Russian Doll returns with another such character named Alan, who is also locked in the same time loop.
It’s been almost 3 years since the first season premiered.
So,
we can’t wait any longer for Russian Doll Season 2 because we must explore if Nadia and Alan find ways to break the loop or if they find other people just like them.
7: Stranger Things Season 4
Stranger Things was last seen in 2019 when the Byer family and Eleven were about to leave Hawkins, while Hopper looked to be alive in Russia.
The fourth season is said to take place over spring break 1986, a few months later.
We know many of you were heartbroken the way season 3 ended because so many friends departed from each other, and Eleven lost Hopper.
But, the climax gave us some hope, and we have been rooting for the crew to get back together since then.
Get These Over With!
We honestly want to talk to these showrunners because there’s a limit to our patients, and it’s breaking every day.
So, we want these shows to be released ASAP so that we can binge-watch them and let you know what we think.
Therefore you must bear with us for a few more days, and then
