Americana Band The Barefoot Movement Unveils Captivating Video For “Back Behind the Wheel” [Exclusive Premiere]

One band who should be on everyone’s radar is Americana / Roots sensation The Barefoot Movement. Since releasing their debut album in 2011, the Tennessee based band has carved out their own way in the acoustic music world. Along the way they have built an impressive catalog of high energy anthems, while also working with the who-who of industry elite veterans.

Their signature sound revolves around members Noah Wall – whose powerhouse vocals, songwriting and fiddle playing serve as the backbone of the band alongside mandolinist Tommy Norris and upright bassist Katie Blomarz who rounds out their unique sound. It was captured perfectly on their most recent album Pressing Onward, which was released last year. One of the standout cuts is the leadoff for the record, “Back Behind The Wheel.” The track, along with the full album, was produced by legendary studio veterans Chuck Plotkin (Springsteen’s Born in the USA, Bob Dylan’s Shot of Love, etc) and Hank Linderman (The Eagles, Chicago, etc).

“The quote under my senior photo in my high school yearbook came from Bob Dylan,” explains Noah Wall, who penned the song. “‘When you feel in your gut what you are and then dynamically pursue it, don’t give up and don’t back down. Then you’re gonna mystify a lot of folks.’”

She adds, “That quote perfectly embodies the message of ‘Back Behind the Wheel.’ Finding and being able to pursue your passion is a blessing but it also takes nothing less than everything you have to see it through. The song is about rising above the doubt and recommitting yourself to the relentless grind, because when you feel in your gut what you are, you have no other choice.”

Over the years, The Barefoot Movement has gained praise and notoriety for their energetic stage presence, which is all done barefoot. They continue to push forward and showcase that in their “Back Behind the Wheel” video by taking viewers behind-the-scenes. It details the band prior to a show and spotlights them doing what they do best, which is captivate audiences! Vents Magazine readers have the exclusive world premiere!
