Marietta Grant is a native of Chicago, Illinois, and was born on August 02nd, 1969. From an early age, Marietta had a keen interest in music. Her interest became a passion after listening to the song Smooth Operator by Sade Adu. The songs of Sade filled her with positivity and helped her face and overcome many of the difficult phases of her life. Because of this, she wanted to become someone who could do the same for the new generation filled with insecurity. In 2010, Marietta started composing songs and perfecting the art of portraying her innermost feeling through them. On October 3rd, 2020, Marietta released her new single, I AM ME. This single incorporates the best elements of R&B, soul music, and pop music. The goal of this song was to reach the hearts of her audience and impart an important message to them. She wants to tell the message that only by believing in themselves can they break away from the chains that bind them. A person can only count on themselves when faced with diversity.
Currently, Marietta resides in Fort Worth, Texas. She is working on releasing a new single that could gain her further recognition in the music industry and further her career as an artist. At present, she works at the USPS in the day and devotes all her free time to working on her songs at night. She stays positive and continues her endeavors with complete faith in herself and her abilities.
