Alexander Affleck formally known as Tiblan, a recording artist, record producer, and artistic songwriter from Salt Lake City, Utah, has been making a name for himself. He’s known as the white boy who speaks Kreyol. He has always been passionate about music but started recording officially in 2020. The ultimate goal? Creating timeless and incredibly appealing music, something his fanbase applauds him for. In late 2021, he decided to change his stage name to AJ Affleck. He released his debut single, Asweya, in September 2021. The ominous, Magic Touch-produced track also features Percutant. This song is a must listen and definitely not to be slept on. It shows how much of a studio workhorse he is — and how he continues to perfect his craft. Recently, we had the opportunity to interview AJ Affleck and you can read that conversation below.

It all starts with my thoughts, turn my ideas into a story, the story becomes a masterpiece.
What made you want to release your new song “Asweya?”
I’m the first of my kind to do it. No one’s out here dropping tracks in Kreyol. No white boy is going to port-au-prince to collab with an artist but me.
Since your career began, what would you say is your favorite highlight?
Connecting with artists like Young Thug or even having Bobby Shmurda come to my hometown to visit me.
What advice would you offer aspiring performers?
Just go for it. Stop caring what anyone thinks, do what gives you energy. Life is too short to think/care how others feel

Decentralized Music Platform, and a few new tracks.
Who would you want to collaborate with within the near future?
Kodak. Plain and Simple
Did COVID change your career for better or worse?
For the better. Made me workout side the box.
