Kid Cambo’s Showcase of Greatness – A Historic Evening

Kid Cambo’s Showcase of Greatness was a historic event for Seattle Hip Hop. Nearly twenty Seattle-Based rappers took the stage for short sets between 7pm and last call. Hosted by Kid Cambo and local streetwear brand Mediums Collective, the night was one to remember.

Located at Fremont’s Nectar Lounge, the event was appropriately MCed by Marshall Law Band frontman Marshall Hugh- the creator of Fremont Fridays. Marshall was also celebrating his thirtieth birthday on the March 3rd show, leading to an incredible celebration of Marshall and the entire Seattle Hip Hop scene. Throughout the night Marshall introduced heavy hitting Seattle acts such as OG Mambo, Leebo Tracks, ABSTRACATN, and many more.

The event lasted over six hours, but the time certainly flew by as everyone was having fun. Marshall Hugh took the stage late in the evening, bringing a special guest with each song he did. Kid Cambo headlined the event and took the stage at nearly 1am. Despite taking the stage so late, an entire crowd of at least 100 people remained and they were truly electric. Cambo heard his songs sung back to him, and after his set the crowd chanted his name with all there might.

All in all there were over 50 hip-hop creatives in the room, with no incidents, fights, publicity stunts, or disses. The show was truly a showcase of greatness in Seattle Hip Hop, and one that no attendee will forget.
