I have arrived at the fourth season of Parks and Recreation. The first season was iffy. The second was good. The third was really good but truncated. Now, here we are. It’s a full season of television, and a full season of Ben and Chris as characters. How good was the fourth season of Parks and Recreation? I am about to rank every episode of the fourth season, and then we shall find out.

2. “The Debate”
1. “Win, Lose, or Draw”
This season had the overarching story of Leslie running for city council, which I thought was quite good. After all, my top-two episodes are both big stories at the end of that arc. In fact, my top episode of the season is the season finale, which clearly shows the story ended on a high note.
This may or may not be the best season of the show. Although, it’s more about a bunch of really good episodes than some all-time great ones. The top-two episodes are great, and there are some other strong episodes, and even the bottom episodes are still pretty good. They are just a bit amiss in the grand scheme of things. I will note that “Ron and Tammys” is in the middle of the pack for me. When Tammy 2 rolls around it’s good fun, but Tammy One and Tammy Zero are less enjoyable.
Leslie Knope’s run for city council gave the show some real juice, and they mined it for laughs in season four.
