TRACK PREMIERE: Dance Pop Artist Harrison Barnes Brings the Heat with “TLC”

With many planning to give flowers or chocolates to loved ones for Valentine’s Day, why not surprise them with a little TLC? For pop artist Harrison Barnes, “TLC” has a whole other meaning and is also the title of his new single that is out today on all streaming platforms.

Barnes originally wrote the song intended for a country singer, with the hook “Tender, Love and Kerosine.” Eventually, he reworked it into a dance song.

“TLC” draws heavily from the music of Barnes’ childhood idol, Britney Spears. Dancing since an early age, Barnes was obsessed with Spears and learned how to dance by spending hours watching her music videos (as many of us did in the 90s).

Barnes eventually started writing his own songs and later released his first single, “Play Me,” in April 2020. OUT Magazine featured his music video for “Play Me,” saying that Harrison “serves up some pop vocals that we can certainly come to know and love.”

Since his debut single release, Barnes released his debut EP, If I’m Honest, as well as five singles and eight music videos.  He is also a professional dancer (he made it to the semifinals on America’s Got Talent) and showcases his fantastic dance skills in his videos and on stage.

Today, Barnes dances professionally in Las Vegas and is growing a strong music following as well. His singles have garnered nearly 60,000 total Spotify streams.

This Valentine’s Day, heat things up with “TLC,” the new single by Harrison Barnes, out now everywhere. Take a listen below:
