Single Review: ‘Save Me’ by Not Now Norman

Sometimes, you come across a band that time and time again blows you away. Not Now Norman has never failed to do just that with each single they have released. Once again, the Berwick-Upon-Tweed four-piece are setting out to blow our minds (and our speakers) with the release of their upcoming single ‘Save Me’. This track is an absolute gut-puncher, as the crunching chords and deafening drum breaks burst through your headphones when you hit play. With a more Evanescence style sewn into their signature sound, ‘Save Me’ is an effortless evolution for a group that has definitely showcased the formidable force of a female vocalist. Taylor Mitchell’s vocals on this track are beyond outstanding. Even with Zander Brown’s guitar, Dougie Scott’s drums and Lara Hindhaugh’s bass all cranked up to the max, she commands the whole track. Her powerful vocal presence seriously sets this group apart. With regular live shows, often supporting the likes of LazyRaze, Follow Deep and Ashes Of Iron, Not Now Norman are bound to set the place on fire when soaking the audience in the sounds of ‘Save Me’.
