To produce a film is an art in itself. It’s a unique way of putting together different ideas and working with many professionals just to make magic happen on screen. Among the many films, producers are the Tayyab Madni. The Australian writer, director and producer knows his craft well and is aware of the various methods to execute it. He is someone who understands the power of films and the influence it has on people.
Inspired by great producers of all times, Madni has learned not to compromise on the quality of his projects. He ensures to indulge himself completely in every film project that he starts. Growing up watching various films and truly appreciating the art of filmmaking, it’s no surprise that Tayyab decided to continue his passion and ended up pursuing his career as a film producer. In 2017, he finally launched his own production house company called Picture Works Australia. Madni describes his production company as a “group of industry professionals who have an intense enthusiasm and devotion to film, comprising of Oscar, Golden Globe, BAFTA, AACTA, NYCFF and SAARC winners, responsible for internationally renowned and commercially successful films.
With over fifteen years of experience in film, the producer of the 2017 simple but complex movie ‘Yaman’ gained an appreciation for creating a heartfelt film about unrequited love. Based on an Indian couple starring Sayani Gupta, Priyanshu Painyuli, and Vipin Sharmathe movie comes with Indian Musical interludes and expresses the realities of a relationship that many films fail to represent. In 2019, the remarkable movie also won the ‘Best Music Award’ during the LGBT Feedback Film Festival that took place in Los Angeles.
Alongside producing great films, the University of Western Sydney graduate has also acted as an associated producer on different media projects such as The Man Who Knew Infinity starring Jeremy Irons, Dev Patel Tobey Jones, Stephen Fry and Devika Bhise. Other than that, in 2018, he also acted as financial consultant and sales consultant in ‘Hotel Mumbai’ that happens to be an action thriller film based in one of the largest cities of India. Premiered on the 8th of September at the Toronto International Film Festival, the film reflects the lives of individuals living in Mumbai, trying to survive the horrendous battle of Hotel Mumbai. Gaining recognition for his film production skills, his biography is also mentioned on the leading IMBd forum that mentions his role in the “executive committee of the ISBE (International Show Biz Expo) that encourages the younger emerging entertainment markets with the established industry heavyweights.”
