Rapper, singer and songwriter , Niño Brown has just released a new track marking his 5th release from three different projects in 3 months. “Not the Same”, is his latest effort which seamlessly blends catchy and melodic harmonies with a more classic rap sensibility. The track was made by producer and Hip-Hop heavy Svgar Beats and engineered by local Athens Ga. hip-hop stalwart, Quezzy Poet, who also features on the track. “Poet played me the song and it just had the hook, I knew right away it was a hit before there were any verses on it, like you couldn’t miss”, says Brown. While Niño’s vocal delivery is heavily drenched in auto-tune, there’s a more classic storytelling vibe happening with a west coast, golden age kind of feel. “It’s easy for me to do what I do when I’m working with dope artists like Quezzy Poet and Lōkey”. “I’m especially proud of this song because I was able to touch on some things I feel like I’ve been through and it’s satisfying to get things off your chest as an artist”. ” At the end of the day I’m a product of my environment and I just want to represent myself with authenticity”. “Not the Same” introduces newcomer “Lōkey” into the fold, who’s distinctive vocal sound helps to round out this banger of a track that’s perfect for any New Year’s Eve playlist.
