Singer/Songwriter Soran Delivers Highly Personal “Tired”

After three eye-catching works released already this year, Japanese born artist Soran is rounding it off with one more incredibly special single. Titled “Tired” and examining the feelings exchanged in the aftermath of a break-up, there is a raw energy that proves irresistible here.

Whilst its melancholic melody is a focus, the smooth quality of Soran’s vocals coupled with a lilting frisson of R+B groove means that “Tired” has natural ebbs and flows. He dedicates the release to his late mother, explaining how much of an impact she had on his career: “That song means so much to me. My mom named me after the anime Space Boy Soran. In Japanese, there are three different alphabets. She decided to write my name as ‘Universe’ in Japan. Lyrically, it’s about a character who goes out to save the world.”

Now based in Montreal, Soran will be heading out on a North American tour next year. Head here for more details.
