After making huge waves with their brilliant debut single ‘Feels Like Summer‘ earlier this year, which saw them being picked from virtual obscurity to be featured on the FIFA 2022 soundtrack, emerging Welsh trio Public Order have now returned to unveil the official video for their recent offering.
Keeping the feel of this new video as raw and authentic as possible, the visuals for ‘Feels Like Summer’ sees the group open up their day-to-day lives for us all to enjoy. With a special cameo of sorts from a certain Welsh musical icon as well, the clip is a fun and candid tour around their hometown of Merthyr Tydfil.
Speaking about the new video and their addition to the FIFA soundtrack, they said, “We’re absolutely buzzed to release this video, it’s basically just a little insight into our lives and what we get up to day to day. We had a great laugh filming it and hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it. As far as FIFA goes, it’s been the best kick start to our journey we possibly could have asked for! It’s a game we’ve grown up with and adored most of our lives, so it’s a pleasure to be a part of it!”
Emerging from Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales, Public Order have found themselves rekindling the spirit of what made the Madchester movement of the 90s such an iconic era in modern British music.
As close childhood friends, the trio spent much of their teenage years exploring a diverse array of musical interests. Citing early material from The Stone Roses and The Prodigy as influences, the group’s direction slowly morphed into a combination of two worlds; the dancefloor-filling rhythms of the electronic scene, and the bold and blistering sound of live guitars and drums, creating a sound that many have compared to the vibrant world of the Hacienda Nightclub in the 90s.
While their style is rooted in those hedonistic days of all night raves, they have begun to add a new flair and spin to their sound, delivering a raw yet upbeat texture that has grown over years of experimentation and adventurous musical pursuits.
