Powerhouse Australian trio Saba Brothers’ new single You Should Probably Go is the first new track in two years for the Sydney based band. Emerging from their hiatus and COVID lockdown, revitalized and reimagined Raymond, Steven and Nathan have released their much-anticipated career-changing track—a soaring emotional pop ride merging a contemporary rock groove with blazing vocal work and an anthemic heartbeat. After a series of indie-pop releases, including Life, Smile, and Can I Have This Dance, generating nationwide airplay, healthy streaming numbers, and a loyal fanbase, the boys have delved deep, reassessed, and shot it straight out of the ballpark. As Nathan says about the significance of their new release, ‘I think it is important for our audience to know that as brothers, music is something that keeps us bonded together and that our values are instilled in our music.’ The track blends a series of strong melodies, stirring dynamics with performances that highlight the variations in vocal tone—all three members sing on You Should Probably Go, adding varying layers of vulnerability, raw spirit, and emotional directness. An assortment of instrumentation also adds to the musical palette, with acoustic guitars, stadium drums, and a multitude of ambient textures expanding the track, bringing into relief the hooks, harmonies, and exploratory mood of the song. As Raymond says about the new track, ‘Our new song is about building the resilience to overcome a broken relationship.’ Steve adds, ‘We wanted to capture the perspective of the fight between the brain and the heart, the brain that has all of these beautiful memories, and the heart that’s been broken by that same person who made them feel so safe.’ As well as exploring this enigma, You Should Probably Go highlights the band’s flourishing artistic skills, creating an irresistible feel-good pop-rock smash, kickstarting the band’s ascent into the contemporary pop-rock stratosphere.
