Delivering Hope for a Better Future

Hope – the driving force that helps one keep moving forward, regardless of the situation. It is not only capable of easing tough phases and making them bearable but also improving lives with the motivation to do better each day. Although there are many different types of hope, there is a certain sense of calmness and peace in spiritual hope that makes it, unlike others. Spiritual hope means believing in good things for the future with faith in God.

Finding or holding onto hope can be difficult for many. Hardships and adversities can weaken people’s trust in God and deviate them from the right path. Elevation Church, a church in Charlotte, NC, recognizes these pressing matters. It has taken the initiative to restore people’s faith in God by helping communities in different ways that improve their lives and future.

Faith Leads to Action; Action Leads to Success – Jacob Salem

Rightly said, as it was Pastor Steven Furtick and his wife Holly Furtick, whose belief and trust in Christ led to the creation of a unique worship platform, Elevation Church. It was founded in 2006. The founder has helped grow the multi-site Elevation Church into a global ministry through online streaming, television, and the music of Elevation Worship. Today, Elevation Church is known worldwide for its efforts to bind communities together, regain and retain trust in God, and its philanthropic efforts.

The aim of this church is to guide those who feel lost on the right path through a relationship with Jesus. Judging by its services and efforts, it can be said that Elevation Church is more than just a traditional church. It is a platform that enables people to serve their communities in multiple ways and establish or reinstate their faith.

A Symbol of Hope for Those Who are Waiting

Being socially active, Elevation Church is aware of the issues faced by people today. These issues are taken into consideration by the church through their program called Elevation Outreach. For this program, the church partners with philanthropic organizations to deliver hope and help meet the needs of communities all around the world.

Elevation Church has expanded over the years. It has created a loyal community and a global family that believes in relieving the distressed by fulfilling their needs. 12% of every dollar received at Elevation Church is directed towards Elevation Outreach to support local, national, and global outreach efforts. To make the outreach effective, the church has partnered with over 300 organizations to provide help in 6 key areas: Crisis and Disaster Relief, Emergency and Financial Assistance, Restoration and Recovery, Education and Personal Development, Medical Care and Support, and Church Planting.

Elevation Outreach creates multiple event opportunities that cater to the needs of the communities and help them live a better life. These events are arranged in different cities and designed to deal with the specific needs of the people. Some of their recent events include “Packing Supplies for Immediate Distribution” in partnership with MedAssist and “Mobile Food Drop” in partnership with One Heart for Women and Children. Such events restore faith in humanity as it encourages people to come forward and help as volunteers. Through its consistent efforts, Elevation Church is changing people’s thoughts and giving them hope for a better future.

Rejuvenating Humanity – Love Week

One of Elevation Church’s popular events is LOVE Week. It began in 2009 as a challenge from Pastor Steven Furtick for each person in their church to serve at least one hour in the city. What began as a way to support local non-profits in the Charlotte, NC area has expanded to communities around the US and all over the world. Today, LOVE Week has become a large-scale charity event organized by Elevation Church. During this week, volunteers from various cities come together and spend a few hours helping the ones in need. They do this by building homes, distributing food, distributing hygiene kits for natural disasters, preparing meals, hosting community events, and visiting the homeless shelters to distribute food and goods. Love Week 2021, which has been the most recent one, saw a significant increase in the number of volunteers was observed. The church had 22,651 volunteers who helped them for a total of 47,465 hours. They served 314 organizations and had 1,588 total events. Elevation Church gave away $1.6 million during Love Week to outreach partners. The volunteers created 2,200 baby care kits, assembled 5,600 dignity kits for women and teens, put together 21,000 backpacks for students, and distributed 30,900 snack packs.

With its generous efforts to build better communities and help people improve their living standards, Elevation Church surely acts as a ray of hope for many.
