Brooklyn-based folk-pop duo Late Night Thoughts have announced their new EP Bridges & Tunnels, out December 3 on Mifflin Street Music, and shared lead single “Sacrifice”. The EP features five brand new tracks from the duo, debuting a more developed, polished sound. Vocalist Brian Rauch shares, “Every facet of our being has taken a giant leap forward, from the clothes we wear to the videos we make and the music itself. This EP will take you on a journey through what life has been like for us as young adults trying to live out our dreams while struggling with our fears and holding on to love.”
“Sacrifice” in particular tells the story of finding a balance between a committed relationship and pursuing your dream. “The hook of the song is ‘one thing I won’t sacrifice’ but it’s intentionally ambiguous if that ‘one thing’ is the romantic partner, or the pursuit of a dream…because we can’t live without either of them,” the band shares.

Late Night Thoughts is the folk-pop duo of Brian Rauch (vocals, writer) and Michael Harlow (vocals, guitar, writer). Together, the young, grounded artists share their musically intuitive minds to create an emotional ride characterized by earnest lyrics and intricate harmonies/vocal textures.
The pair met while attending Brandeis University, and forged a friendship through a shared love for songwriting, beginning in a class titled “Protest Through Song,” and blossoming as they realized their keen ability to harmonize. Soon, the two began to write and perform across Massachusetts. Their first EP, Moonlit Memories, was released in 2018, and was followed by their second EP, Worth It, in 2019. The releases collectively amassed over three million streams on various platforms, and garnered praise from Beat Magazine, Alternative Addiction and Ear to the Ground.
Since graduating, the duo relocated to NYC where they have performed at various venues including Rockwood Music Hall, The Delancey, Mercury Lounge and The Well. Between all of their musical adventures, they have been carefully crafting their next batch of original music, ready for a new chapter of Late Night Thoughts.
