Battery life is undoubtedly one of the biggest concerns for anyone considering purchasing a smartwatch. The best smartwatches on the market consume so much power that they can barely make it through the day on a single charge. If you’re away from home without your charger, this isn’t ideal.
Since I was fed up with my old Sony smartwatch’s battery life, I chose my next device based on battery life. While searching for watches that extend battery life, I discovered a whole new world of hybrid devices that have a traditional watch face but use proprietary operating systems and solar charging. I’ve shared all of my findings here.
WearOS is known for its poor battery performance, so it’s no surprise we didn’t include any WearOS devices in our roundup of smartwatches with good battery life. The TicWatch Pro 3 exceeded all expectations and deserves to be at the top of our list.
One of the best implementations of WearOS on a smartwatch. It offers a large number of third-party apps thanks to the Snapdragon Wear processor and 1GB of RAM.
Battery life is unheard of for a watch with these specs and so many features, lasting approximately 3 days with regular use, including fitness tracking, or up to 5 days with light use.
These superior performance attributes are owed to the device’s innovative dual-screen display, which combines a transparent LCD overlay with a traditional smartwatch display.
Besides showing key information such as time and date, the LCD screen has a backlight for easy viewing in the dark. The smartwatch screen will only need to be activated if you want to use its advanced features.
Among the watch’s features are blood oxygen monitoring, heart rate monitoring, NFC payment integration with Google Pay, and call making/receiving functions. In addition, there are a number of preloaded apps, such as fitness apps and voice memos.
The Honor Magic Watch 2 is a close second. The Honor Watch GT2, which costs $300 less than the Huawei Watch GT2, comes with the latest Huawei Kirin A1 processor and Huawei Lite OS, which is similar to the more expensive Huawei Watch GT2.
The device’s 455mAh battery is strong and can last 3-4 days with full use of the heart rate monitor, always-on display, and regular GPS usage.
The Honor 9i claims up to 14 days of battery life if you don’t need the always-on display, and several users have confirmed this on Amazon.
If you choose the 46mm version, you’ll also get a built-in microphone and speaker that can be used for phone calls. At 41 g and 10.7 mm thick, it’s thin enough to wear underneath any sleeve you wear and yet still light on your wrist.
In addition to the Huawei Health app, it comes with a suite of impressive fitness features. With this app you can track all your fitness activity in one place, but there is no Strava integration.
Because of the lightweight operating system, notifications are limited and there is no NFC for making payments.
With unique features and multiple trackers, the Fenix 6 Pro is a monster watch. You’ll notice it’s a smartwatch when you wear it, though it looks like an analog watch.
Due to the Corona outbreak, it comes with standard items such as GPS tracking and a thermometer.
Furthermore, it offers many trackers, including fitness, navigation, heart rate, and pulse oximeter. Pulse OX tracks your sleep time anonymously to help you improve or decrease your sleep for better health.
It features a solar-readable, always-on 1.3″ screen and a thin stainless steel bezel. Garmin Fenix 6 Pro is made durable with diamond-like carbon (DLC) or titanium coatings.
Burning body fat can store up to 2000 songs and has preloaded locations of over 2000 ski resorts nationwide. Which makes it an excellent choice for fitness trainees who enjoy listening to music.
Garmin’s Fenix 6 pro boasts a long battery life. The battery life of a full smartwatch lasts up to 14 days, a GPS-only model lasts up to 28 days, and a non-stop music model lasts up to 10 hours.
Among the many features, you’ll also have access to Google Connect communication. The package includes a play better portable charger, screen protectors, and a rugged protective case.
We chose the Ticwatch Pro 3 as our best watch with a long battery life because it has innovative technology for extended battery life. This means you’ll have two options to maintain your watch (due to its dual-layer display 2.0).
- The smart mode extends the battery life to three days.
- This enhanced primary mode extends the battery life by 45 days without needing to charge even briefly.
The Ticwatch Pro 3 is somehow the only smartwatch with Google O.S. with Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 Platform. It also contains superfast 1 GB RAM and 8 GB ROM to keep you updated and connected with the world.
You can track multiple sports and daily life activities with its 24-hour heart rate monitor, stress tracker, noise detection, and sleep tracker as well. Plus, it consists of a GPS and barometer to keep you on track while you roam in chilled and stormy mountains.
Similarly, it’s more of a robust watch with a 45 mm stainless steel bezel. And a 1.4″ premium AMOLED screen with 454×454 resolutions and backlit T.N. makes it light and moonlight readable.
