Seeing who knows (or in some cases, remembers!) the answers to questions about others in your family can prove entertaining. Different rounds of the quiz can be about different topics the same way a normal pub quiz would be, but the answer to each question will be something to do with your family. Even if there aren’t prizes for the winner or winners, they will have continuous bragging rights.
Awards Ceremony
Hosting your own awards ceremony will enable you to make everyone in the family feel valued and seen. You can create your own superlatives and categories so that everyone has the chance and ability to win an award. Kids and adults alike will appreciate receiving comments on their habits and behaviors which have stood out to their relatives, particularly those that have stuck with people when they haven’t been able to meet up regularly. Whether you make your own certificates or buy some trophies for the occasion, it is a great activity for a family reunion.
Games Night
From the youngest to the oldest, there won’t be a member of your family who won’t enjoy a games night. There are many options for the types of games that you can play, a favorite is usually board games given the astonishing amount of them and their broad-reaching audience. There’s also the option of playing electronic games across numerous platforms which can be simple for the older generations to grasp and fun for the younger generations as well.

How about organizing your reunion around a certain theme? There are so many different possibilities with this idea; you could have everyone dress up, have theme-specific food and activities. Having a themed night is an excellent way to encourage everyone to get involved and potentially try something different. If you were to choose a broader theme like filming, live streaming, or even books and have everyone dress as their favorite character, it would also allow you to learn more about their interests as well. As for food and drink, if you were to have a themed night around different countries or cultures, or even were just more creative with your normal selection of party food it could be used as a method to encourage the fussier eaters to try something different and expand their tastes.
