For my money, she is one of the best blues guitar players anywhere, male or female, and “Dallas Man” is just one more example of her world class chops.
“Dallas Man” is the lead song from her forthcoming album Pinky’s Blues – referring to her signature pink paisley Fender Telecaster. “Dallas Man” sets you up for a raw blues tour through Texas backwoods music in a guitar-driven collection of 12 songs, both original and covers, that demonstrate not only that Sue is one of the world’s greatest Blues guitarists, but that she can push the sheer joy of playing through recordings as well live shows.
Foley’s recent album, The Ice Queen, reached #4 on the Billboard Current Blues chart, #1 on RootsMusic Report’s Top 50 Canada album chart and was in the Living Blues radio chart for four consecutive months, peaking at #2. I predict “Dallas Man” will leave those numbers in the dust.
