Following up the enormous response to his previously shared singles ‘Your Heart’s Not In It‘, and ‘Forever Young‘ in recent months, fast-rising Jersey born / Irish singer and songwriter Tadhg Daly is now continuing the support for his highly-anticipated new EP with the sweeping new single ‘Come On Over’.
Channelling the same raw and heartfelt emotion we have heard from him so far, ‘Come On Over’ continues that broad and euphoric direction he is cultivating for himself. With his rich and euphoric voice layered effortlessly over a bed of smooth and wistful guitar playing, he is proving once again why so many are turning onto him of late.
Speaking about the offering, Tadhg said, “I kind of wrote this song about feeling like a loser. I had this scene in my head of sitting around in a dimly lit apartment at 3am smoking a cigarette texting an ex-girlfriend. At its core I think it’s about watching someone move on with their life whilst you’re stuck in a rut, all the while understanding they need to move on, but wanting to be their “in between”.”
Throughout the last year, Tadhg Daly has been in pursuit of creating a more adventurous and textured approach to the alt-pop sound, and this is exactly what we can expect to hear on ‘Forever Young’. The new five-track EP looks to tell his own unique tale of overcoming adversity and battling personal demons, all of which have led him towards a career in music as he looks to present himself in a raw and more intimate guise.
