Thriller Film “An Intrusion” Is Anything But to New Studio Home Gravitas Ventures

It’s been some time since a really good thriller has come down the pike and given us all a good and proper scare; the last really good edge-of-your seat type of movie that hit moviegoers like an atom bomb blast was 2014’s It Follows (yeah, yeah, I know: 2019’s Midsommar was no piker, either, but I would argue that the overall execution was better served with It Follows) which is Monday’s heaping-helping delivery of irony because one of the stars of that David Robert Mitchell slow burn chiller was none other than Keir Gilchrist who also features prominently in another buzzed about thriller entitled An Intrusion which this very day has found a studio home with Gravitas Ventures, according to our kismet-lovin’ pals over at the always on-point Hollywood Reporter. Don’t you just love it when everything ties together in a nice, neat bow?

Revealed today, Gravitas Ventures will be scooping up the North American rights to the Nicholas Holland directed home invasion movie An Intrusion which features a bevy of actors with chops to spare, including Keir Gilchrist, Scout Taylor-Compton (Rob Zombie’s Halloween reboot), Billy Boyd (Lord of the Rings), Sam Logan Khaleghi (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice), Michael Emery (Blue Bloods) and Dustin Prince (Then There Was Joe).

An Intrusion is about a man living in fear from a sadistic stalker. As the victim begins to investigate just who is behind this sinister and progressively violent series of events aimed directly at him, he comes to the sobering conclusion that the key to the attacks may lie buried in his past. Sounds like holiday fun all the way around, doesn’t it? Just to keep that family theme going a bit longer, Gravitas has announced that it is planning a day-and-date theatrical/VOD/DVD/BluRay release for the new film on no less than Thanksgiving weekend; ‘Tis the season.

In a press release announcing the acquisition of An Intrusion, Big Wheel Tony Piantedosi of Gravitas Ventures said that “Nick has crafted a home invasion thriller that is brimming with tension and compelling performances from an immensely talented ensemble. We look forward to unveiling the film to North American audiences this fall.”

For his own part, director Nicholas Holland said that “Collaborating with some of my favorite actors in modern film and sweating side by side with this cast and crew as they worked tirelessly through literal rain, ice storms, and every production hurdle imaginable to complete this film is one of the most humbling experiences of my life.”

So get set after pulling yourself from the family dinner table this Thanksgiving for a rollercoaster thrill ride courtesy of An Intrusion! Oh, and tell ‘em Vents sent you!
