What Are The Best Boxing Walk Out Songs Of The 2000s?

Whether it’s boxing, UFC, Darts or professional Wrestling, all the athletes love a pump-up tune to come out to. We all love having a beat and rhythm, too, when working out and milling weights. Regardless of whether you are a music lover or not, the importance of an entry song for an athlete to arrive is beyond discussion. It pops the crowd and gets the superstar running.

Here are some of the best Boxing walkout songs of the 2000s:

AC/DC Thunderstruck

Thunderstruck by AC/DC is most closely connected with the late Arturo Gatti.

Gatti’s ring entrance music was typically Thunderstruck, and “Thunder” also happened to be his nickname. Thor, the god of thunder, was always with him, for he wrestled and boxed with thunder beside him, often consistently delighting the spectators.

The boxing legend Manny Pacquiao has on occasion used the track to make an in-ring entrance. At the Pacquiao/Margarito bout, most would recognize that Manny was ‘stealing’ what was alleged to be Gatti’s song.  Unquestionably, thunderstruck is a great rock tune that will get fans pumped and warmed up to experience yet another incredible contest.

 Dan Henderson: Lunatic Fringe

Red Rider’s song “Lunatic Fringe” was released in 1981 and peaked at No. 11 on Billboard’s rock radio chart. The hit song was thematically inspired by the revival of antisemitism and the killing of John Lennon.

Dan Henderson began his career as a Greco-Roman wrestler, representing America in the Olympics twice. Later, he became a genuine double-champion in Pride and battled for the UFC title numerous times until retiring in 2016 after smashing then-champion and rival Mike Bisping’s face but lost on decision.

“Lunatic Fringe” is ideal music for elderly wrestlers, and it was extensively featured in the legendary wrestling film Vision Quest from the 1980s. Meanwhile, “Hendo” is maybe the world’s oldest wrestler. Henderson, who was in his mid-40s at the time, clumsily walked about the Octagon, attempting to kill opponents with his big right hand. His wrestling talent had essentially faded by that point, but “Hollywood” still epitomized the wild old wrestler attitude.

Andre Fili: Feelin’ Myself

Mac Dre, a Bay Area rap icon, released his most well-known song in 2004 on his third studio album, Ronald Dregan: Dreganomics.

Fili, a UFC veteran since 2013, has risen through the ranks numerous times and finished 12 of his 20 professional fights.

“Feelin’ Myself” is a song that depicts northern California hip hop, a culture in which Fili is heavily active. It’s also about the pride and confidence that comes with being a nasty mother*fucker, and “Touchy” contains enough of that.

DJ Khaled – All I Do Is Win

DJ Khaled has cemented his status as a formidable figure in the music world. Anytime he releases a new song or debuts an album, it engages other well-renowned rappers, prompting them to hop in and contribute verses on his tracks. His popular hit song has blazed the speakers on both boxing and MMA on several occasions.

Boxers have been known to use the track to make their ring entrance to build up the mental psych and momentum of their fight. It would be interesting to have a data sheet on the professional fighters who had made their entrance using the song to win their respective matches, so if you’re a big fight fan who likes watching the best go toe-to-toe then check out Betting24.fi for all your boxing odds.
