Chicago hometown heros Wolf Rd releases cathartic pop punk track “As Good As It Gets”

When your in a band one massive goal you want to accomplish is making it big in your hometown. That’s not something that usually happens right from the get-go and it takes even longer to become “hometown heroes”. For pop punks newest band Wolf Rd, it took them almost no time at all. In 2019 Wolf Rd, made up of Chris Hoffman, Nick Hoffman, Geoffrey Duckmann and Devin Stone released their debut EP Nowhere Around You. When it came time to celebrate the debut release the show was completely sold out. It wasn’t long before they were making a name for themselves and becoming one of Chicago’s favorite band. Their sound combines the harmonic vocals of bands like All Time Low while steeped in energy similar to Neck Deep. Their newest single “As Good As It Gets” off of their Counterpoint EP is an emotional break up track but without all the finger-pointing and nastiness. It’s a song that stays with you and demands to be sung.
