Cameron Forbes exudes authenticity and fearlessly reaches across genres, traversing pop, R&B and neo-soul with his penchant for crafting catchy songs on full display. The Los Angeles-based, Chicago-raised performer has written songs that have been streamed BILLIONS of times for artists including Tyga, Carrie Underwood, Sean Kingston, G-Eazy, more and, with his new music, is ready to embark on his new journey being front & center. He recently released “Send Nudes,” the first track from his upcoming project due via things we like / AWAL. The song is a celebration of body positivity — celebrating your own skin, no filter, no judgment no matter what shape, size, or color you are — and has been included on numerous Spotify playlists including New Music Friday (US & Global), Notable Releases and Fresh Finds. Today, Cam shares the inclusive video for the song directed by Anastasia Shulepova & Philip Formenti-Ujlaki.
“We wanted to show people — black, white, straight, LGBTQIA+ — falling in love with their reflections for the first time,” notes Cam. “I think it’s beautiful to witness how people wear their skin.” He adds, “It was the first time I’ve ever done choreography in a video and I loved it because it was me learning how to embrace my awkwardness and just let go and have fun. That’s what the song is all about.”
