These themes coupled with the clear hunger for success using his craft, and the bar after bar word play/flow structure make it apparent – GOLDEN G is here for the legacy of Hip-Hop and what it means to be a rapper, with a true respect for a constantly changing, and now somewhat diluted artform. The artist has no fear of competion – boldly expressing that he is “never second, and never second guessing first place for a second”. The drive of this record really sticks out in showcasing a confidence many rappers claim to have, but tend not to say or show in action or ability. Instead of flexing money, or a lifestyle, GOLDEN G showcases his advanced ability with weaving words. All in all the record though controversial, comes from a place of seeking eudaimonia through the means of talent and aspirations – serving as an ambition fueler for any person who wants to do something great, and is willing to maintain the resilience and work ethic to do so.
