Hey Joseph Toth aka DJ Collab, how are you?
I’m doing good, thanks for having me.
Tell us about your background getting to where you are today?
My background comes from being born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. My family has always loved the 9-5 & never really stepped out of their comfort zone in life so I wanted to be the first to make a change. I started learning at the young age of 19 in the middle of the ocean on deployment in the United States Navy, returned to San Diego where I networked my way into some hookah bars in the local gas lamp district. I returned to Ohio to continue to build my craft & became a resident DJ 2-3 nights a week & hit the peak so where I ventured and took the risk to come to LA.
Where are you from?
When did you start music?
I started music / Djing in mid-deployment 2013.
How did you get into music?
I got into music because I have always been the outgoing and spontaneous one that would bring people together, even if it’s a casual event or just hanging out so why now try to do it for fun and get paid.
Who inspires you the most musically?
Who inspires me most musically is Chris Brown, his standpoint on the melodies and how creative he is with the scene of music videos and storylines.
What do you want people to take away after listening to your music?
After listening to my music I just want people to enjoy the upbeat tempo vibes that is a great welcome to everything in the US opening back up.
Tell us about any new music you have coming out? When is coming out? What is it about?
I have a music video and song called “difference” & that will be included with my artists Quandot & a DJ duo named Redcupnation & their artist Vanni. It’s an upbeat summer welcoming song that just fits the perfect lineup for the world opening back up and everyone wanting to be outside!
