Huawei Watch 3 VS Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 Which One is Best?

Huawei announced its flagship watch, the Huawei Watch 3, which is powered by the Harmony OS and offers dozens of new features. However, most people say Galaxy Watch 3 has pretty similar features to Huawei Watch 3.

The prices of the two smartwatches are pretty similar, making it hard to decide which is the best.

Samsung is the most powerful and old competitor of Huawei, so Galaxy Watch 3 VS Huawei Watch 3 will be a tough battle. Let’s see which watch performs well and fulfills your expectations.

Huawei Watch 3 VS Samsung Galaxy Watch 3: Battery Life

As a starting point, let us compare each device’s battery life. Galaxy watches from previous generations have a battery life of about seven days, which is pretty cool. Similarly, Huawei watches 2 have a one-week battery life.

We had different expectations of Huawei Watch 3 and HarmonyOS, both powered by the latest Android OS. Our previous Huawei watches are based on Android Wear OS, but luckily, it offers a 14-day battery life which meets all our expectations.

In 4G mode, the Huawei watch three will last up to three days, and 14 days with 4G enabled.

Additionally, Galaxy watch three also offers an LTE variant, and the watch lasts two days in LTE mode and without AOD (always-on display). When on AOD, however, the watch lasts for 24 hours.

WearOS, which this Samsung watch uses, does not provide long battery life, so it uses high resources.

Galaxy Watch 3 VS Huawei Watch 3: Design

The two watches are similar in design and shape to their predecessors. Although both flagships have big, tiny dials that look bulky, they’re comfortable to hold. Both devices have super AMOLED displays with higher nits and resolution.

Main Difference:

The Huawei Mate 10 Pro offers a 1000-nit, super bright display that looks pretty cool. Having a resolution of 360 pixels and a refresh rate of 60Hz, the screen measures 1.43” tall.

Display quality is similar to the Apple Watch Series 6. A new feature is the rotational crown on right edge. Like Apple’s Digital Crown, it has a similar appearance and function.

The Galaxy watch 3 is equipped with a 360 x 360 Super AMOLED. Samsung does not reveal the nits, but I’m pretty sure they are lower than Huawei watch 3.

Additionally, the Huawei Watch has thin bezels and two side buttons, while the Galaxy watch 3 has a thick bezel and 43 grams of weight.

Huawei Watch 3 VS Galaxy Watch 3: Health Tracking Features

Huawei Watch 3

Huawei Watch 3 has many features similar to Apple Watch. It will automatically start tracking your basic activities like running, walking, swimming and more.

You’ll also get 100 different indoor and outdoor sports modes, as well as 19 pro modes to keep track of your high-intensity movements. With the watch, you can set different goals, and it will track them and guide you toward their achievement. You will also be able to track your blood oxygen level accurately with SpO2.

Using advanced light sensors, Huawei provides extremely precise measurements this time around. One of the exciting features of this watch is the temperature sensor, which was absent from its predecessors.

Galaxy Watch 3

There is no doubt that Galaxy built a fitness tracking watch that offers more premium features. There are a few extra features here, including ECG recording, stress monitoring, and advanced sleep tools.

Likewise, the watch has 120 sports modes so you can track every fitness activity. In order to estimate your SpO2 level, Galaxy watch 3 uses advanced sensors that emit red LED and infrared rays.

Due to the VO2 max, this watch is highly recommended for runners and hikers. The watch accurately measures even high intensity exercise, such as GYM.

Thanks to its wide range of compatibility, you can sync your watch with plenty of famous fitness apps like; Starve, Runkeeper, Myfitnesspal, and Google Fit.

Huawei Watch 3 Vs Galaxy Watch 3: Other Features

Using both devices opens up a world of possibilities. Firstly, both wearables feature GPS that can track your speed, pace, and distance while you are running. While cycling, running, or hiking, you do not need to use your phone’s GPS.

Samsung’s latest Galaxy watch comes with a contactless payment feature, which is unavailable on Huawei’s watch.

Using Harmony OS, you will be able to experience Huawei’s voice assistant. In addition, the galaxy watch3 comes with a Bixby assistant. A voice assistant lets you set alarms, timers, goals, and calendars.

Thankfully, both devices support LTE, allowing you to use a cellular network without tethering a watch to your phone. With the Galaxy Watch, you can use the 4G network, but I’m not sure about the Huawei Watch.

Lastly, Huawei watches 3 come with 1000+ watch faces, and most of them are customizable, while Galaxy watch 3 offers 50,000+ watch faces, so you can easily find one that suits your routine.
