Social media superstar Krispel presents his three song EP Vibrance to bring an edgy sound to pop music. Hi Krispel, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?
I’ve been phenomenal.
Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Vibrance”?
Yes! Vibrance is ultra vibrant. Makes you wanna dance immediately. Some feel good uptempo music that you can play in the car with friends, at a party, in the shower.. wherever.
Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?
Just life as a whole is the inspiration for every song. The beats tell me what to say and I just execute. Letting the process flow.
Why naming the album after this song in particular?
Funny you said that I actually just released a video for Vibrance and it came it super sick. It has a lot of paint (: And the EP Title “Vibrance” came from the lyrics saying “I had to turn on my Vibrance to get everything I’m spittin’ acknowledged.” “Vibrance” just described the songs energies perfect for me.
How was the recording and writing process?
It awesome like all recording processes. The bars just come to me and I punch in until it’s finished.
Having drawn such a large audience on Tik Tok – do you take this platform in any consideration when working on new music?
When I put the headphones on to record I’m not thinking about anything besides the feeling the music is giving me. It’s a feeling when your in the song recording vocals. Anything else is out of the picture. It’s just me and the mic.
Does this large audience puts any pressure on you as work on new material or rather the opposite?
No, It’s amazing that there’s an audience and it inspires me knowing people are appreciating the music. Pressure is out the window when it comes to my creating process
What role does New Jersey play in your music?
It plays a huge role. Every experience, everything that a human experiences make up his or her whole life. That’s what you are, an energy that is able to experience. So if I lived in a different place my experiences would be completely different and my music career and life in general would be totally different.
Where did you find the inspiration for the songs and lyrics?
The flow is always there. I just have to turn on the mic and headphones with a beat and if I like the beat and want to make a song out of it then it happens. I just have to let it flow. The inspiration is everywhere at all times.
What else is happening next in Krispel’s world?
Lots and lots of new music and music videos. I just dropped a powerful single “Walk the Globe” and am dropping a 6 song EP titled “High Hopes”… mostly guitar summer bops (: I’ve been also streaming studio sessions live on twitch and YouTube and that’s been sick. Just sharing the moment with whoever wants to tune in. I’m excited to keep releasing my creations, they’ve been turning from songs into experiences.
