David Arkenstone, a multi-faceted musician with four Grammy nominations and over 60 album releases— including 22 that have reached the Top 10 of the Billboard New Age Chart, is teaming up with VENTS for the release of his new music video for new single, “Emergence.” The modern classical track features Arkenstone on piano accompanied by Project: CSQ, a California-based string quartet, which features Luanne Homzy on violin, Hana Kim on violin, Jonah Sirota on viola and Evgeny Tonkha on cello. The track was orchestrated by Jeremy Borum (Alan Menken, Stewart Copeland).  “Emergence,” taken from new album Solitude.

Arkenstone’s highly lauded career encompasses a wide-ranging scope of projects that reflect a dedication to the evolution of his craft.  Long an iconic musician in the New Age genre, he’s gone beyond expected boundaries and explored everything from meditative ambient music to the raucous World of Warcraft soundtracks, to the music behind NBC Sports.  With “Emergence,” he continues in the modern classical style of his last album The Turning of the Year, again enlisting the strikingly talented Project: CSQ to create a piece redolent with a measured optimism that looks forward to a new beginning.

Says Arkenstone: “After the year we have collectively experienced as the human race, I felt inspired to come up with music that expressed the yearning to emerge from the solitude we’ve had thrust upon us, a positive melody in waltz time, hoping that the moment we can all dance again is just around the corner.”

“it’s always a joy working with Orchid… This extremely talented quartet brings an emotional level to my music that permeates the screen and touches the viewers” adds David.
