Rapper YC Woody Involved in a Fraud Scheme with Instagram influencers in the South Jersey Region

A fraud scheme of wire fraud and bank scams involving ten people in the South Jersey region was uncovered by authorities last year. The fraud scheme created by Instagram influencers estimates a loss that exceeds $1.5 million from the victims.

The charges were against ten people by the name of Kayla Massa, 22, of Gloucester City, New Jersey; Leire Massa, 19, of Laurel Springs, New Jersey; William Logan, 22, of Gloucester City; Jordan Herrin, 22, of Berlin, New Jersey; Erasmo Feliciano, 19, Laurel Springs; Kevin McDaniels, 18, of Sicklerville, New Jersey; Jabreel Martin, 20, of Philadelphia; Andrew Johnson, 21, of Gloucester City; Alex Haines, 27, of Woodbury, New Jersey; and Dezhon McCrae, 20, of Penns Grove, New Jersey;

The fraud scheme led by Kayla Massa and her co-conspirators aimed to gather bank account information from unsuspecting victims and use them to withdraw funds from individuals, companies, and financial institutions.

The fraud operation used stolen postal money orders, ATM withdrawals, and victims’ debit cards to withdraw funds. The scheme was actively running in the Sicklerville, Clementon, and Gloucester City areas, and the victims’ money was used to buy luxurious items, jewelry, and other expensive items.

To approach victims and seek new leads, Instagram and Snapchat was key. Various posts from accounts of the defendants were used to advertise a way to make “quick cash” if they followed some instructions.

While communicating the prerequisites for each deal, the victims were assured that the operation is safe, legal and their money will remain in good hands.

Kayla Massa, who was main target of the investigation, also recruited other members of the fraud scheme, like Dezhon McCrae, who’s also known as, YC Woody, a Rapper and Instagram influencer who made advertisements and successfully led victims into the scheme.

Although he wasn’t the main character in the process, his actions injured many victims who have had their lives turned upside down by the fraud scheme.

Since his conviction, YC Woody has been on a creative path releasing new songs every month. The rapper’s most recent release, the single “Letter to Momma,” has already reached thousands of views on YouTube and Instagram in a short time.

To announce his previous single, the rapper posted a teaser of the song’s video clip with the subtitles “Ain’t Wasting Time This Year Tell The Labels Let Me In 🏋🏾‍♂️🏋🏾‍♂️🏋🏾‍♂️ “DURKIO” OUT NOW LINK IN BIO” on his Instagram account last month.
