User Name: Fill in the email address that was used to create IONOS by 1&1 email account.
Password: The password you used when registering a 1&1 account.
Tick in the box of Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA). If your email servers do not support this function, you do not have to tick it.
If you usually forget your account passwords or do not want to sign in every time, don’t forget to choose Remember password.

POP and IMAP Account Settings

It is not compulsory to choose IMAP. If you select POP3 for Account Type, enter pop.ionos.com in the Incoming mail server box. The other items are the same as IMAP.

Step 5

When you have filled all the blanks, click More Settings … on the bottom right corner. You will see a box of Internet E-mail Settings. Choose the Outgoing Server tab, tick on two boxes like the following picture.

Incoming server (IMAP): Increase the number to 993 and select SSL for type of encrypted connection.
Outgoing server (SMTP): Increase the number to 587 and select SSL for type of encrypted connection.
If you chose POP3 in the last step, now fill 995 and SSL for Incoming server (POP3), 587, and Auto for Outgoing server (SMTP).
Click OK.

After all, the screen returns to POP and IMAP Account Settings. Now click Next, relax and wait for Test Account Settings. If nothing goes wrong, your Webmail 1and1 Outlook settings have been completed. Click Next the final time and then Finish.
