Young entrepreneurs growing up in today’s world are inheriting a unique and encouraging entrepreneurial environment. In recent years, young entrepreneurs have been taking over, from business moguls to social media superstars. Young people have opted for a career as an entrepreneur and turned their passions into full-time jobs, ultimately building their very own business empire. There are many reasons why young people are well-suited to entrepreneurial success, and as long as they have the ambition and confidence to move forward with their ideas. One such individual is 21-year-old Nick Van Voskuilen. He is here to tell us his entrepreneurial story.
Why did you decide to become an entrepreneur?
From the age of 17, I had the dream to travel the world, run a successful business and live a lifestyle of freedom and fulfilment. I managed to escape the ordinary path of going to college, getting a 9-5 job and not having any freedom at all which I’m extremely grateful for. It wasn’t always like this and I know how it feels to struggle. I was very unhappy in college because I was learning from people who didn’t run a successful online business themselves and didn’t have the lifestyle I wanted to live. So I decided to drop out and fly to the other side of the world to go after my dreams.
What is your business and what do you do?
I have started my personal brand to help people to go to the next level in all areas of life by teaching them high-income skills like digital marketing, affiliate marketing, and high ticket closing. On my entrepreneurial journey, one of the most important skills I’ve developed is the art of ‘’High ticket closing ‘’. It’s basically selling packages that are $1k+ per sale. I started closing deals for influencers & for myself and got a full-time income online without my own product and without even having a big following. People started asking me for advice and I knew a lot of people would like to learn how to make $1k, $2k, or even $10k+ per sale. So that’s why I started my own program teaching people exactly how I did it while traveling the world.
What were the struggles you faced and how did you overcome them?
After dropping out, I flew to the other side of the world to go after my dreams. So I was in Thailand alone with a limited amount of money and no skills whatsoever. Just my laptop and a dream. My lifestyle literally consisted of sleeping in $3 a night hostels eating $1-$2 street food meals. I spent most of my time learning about self-development and business. After buying a bunch of business courses and watching hundreds if not thousands of YouTube videos, I still couldn’t crack the code. I felt frustrated, lost and I doubted myself a lot. I remember the nights where I would take a walk outside for hours trying to pep myself up so I wouldn’t quit and I would keep going at it the next day. But you know how sometimes when you have a burning desire to achieve something you always seem to find a way? My passion and dedication to succeed helped me reach where I am today. I’ve been able to travel while earning money online and I’ve lived in Valencia, Madrid, Barcelona Lisbon Porto and now I’m back again in Thailand.
