With traditional industries like nursing and education being slowly taken over by technology, many budding entrepreneurs are aiming to fill the gaps in the market. By doing so, they may take over their industry by storm. Let’s take Mohamad Younes as a prime example.
Mohamad Younes is a certified pediatric, hematology, and oncology nurse. He was born in Saudi Arabia, and later, he decided to emigrate to the United States. After being in the nursing field for 15 years, he decided to take his career online, retire from his role, and become his own boss.
Becoming a nurse was not what Mohamad had initially set out to do. He was programmed to become an engineer. In 2001, his uncle, an orthopedic surgeon, suggested him of trying something different by working in the field of public health. Mohamad followed his uncle’s advice, and he hasn’t looked back since. Due to his love for the nursing profession, Mohamad knew he wanted to continue adding value to the industry. So, after retiring from his active role, he decided to offer educational services online to fill a gap in the market. Throughout his career as a nurse, Mohamad says that the paychecks were not fulfilling enough.
After his first few years, he decided to add a side hustle to his portfolio and started vlogging and sharing his life online through YouTube. He is known as AlphaSlice to the online community. Through his online presence, Mohamad was able to build his business and start educating aspiring nursing students online through his learning platform.
In the beginning, his monthly wage from his channel and online tuition was a mere $3,000. Now, he is making in excess of $400,000 per month and is seriously taking the online nursing education industry by storm.
Mohamad Younes’ future aim is to be the face of nursing. With technology slowly taking over these traditional jobs, Younes appears well on his way in that direction to achieve his goal.
