Adult Contemporary with jazz & blues influences. Strong melodies and lyrics with a strong, and sometimes, humorous message.
Who are some of your top 5 musical influences?
Carol King, Roberta Flack, Joni Mitchell Alicia Keys, and Annie Lennox all great song writers.
What do you want fans to take from your music?
Strong IDEAS to ignite their imaginations and to inspire them to think!
How’s the music scene in your locale?
New Orleans is a serious music town. I have learned from some of the greats in the business living here.
What is the best concert you have been to? I don’t go to many big concerts. I enjoy smaller listening rooms better. What do you like most about playing live?
I would say being able to feel the vibes & energy of that particular group of people. The Intimacy.
Is there a song on your latest CD release here that stands out as your personal favorite, and why?
“HOPE” it’s also the title of the album. The message is universal and coming out the pandemic, I Feel it can inspire folks to continue to live their best lives!
How have you evolved as an artist over the last year?
This year, during the pandemic, gave me the opportunity to have quite time to write an entire album of original songs. My other albums would usually I would put a few originals and then interpret cover tunes.
If you could meet, play a gig, co-write a song, have dinner, have a drink with any band or artist (dead or alive) who would it be?
Joni Mitchell. She is in, my opinion, a genius.
What’s next for you?
Touring to get this album “HOPE” to the people live! I am also excited to be performing with my amazing band in October 10/21 at The Triad Theater in NYC.
