Indian Sprint Legend Milkha Singh also known as The Flying Man passed away on 18th June, 2021 after he developed complications, including fever and dropping of oxygen saturation level.
The whole nation is paying tribute to the Legendary Olympian. Actor AryaPutra, who is doing a web series based on Sushant Singh Rajput’s life & mysterious death, also paid tribute to the legend with a 10-km run.
Says Aaryputraa, ‘I started running after seeing our great Milkha Singh Ji. He inspired me, and he still does. I wanted to pay a tribute by running in his memory. I ran for 10 kms and I thanked him for everything. He will be in our heart forever’
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also express his condolences over Singh’s demise, describing Milkha as a “colossal sportsperson who captured the nation’s imagination”. “In the passing away of Shri Milkha Singh Ji, we have lost a colossal sportsperson, who captured the nation’s imagination and had a special place in the hearts of countless Indians. His inspiring personality endeared himself to millions. Anguished by his passing away,” he tweeted.
