Romain Bonnet, 27, became a staple of the show Selling Sunset from early on. Starting off as just Mary Fitzgerald’s tall, young, and muscular French boyfriend, he quickly became a fan favorite and strayed away from just being the boyfriend.
Selling Sunset, a reality television series about a group of women and a couple of men who work in The Oppenheim Group on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, CA, brings both drama and luxury real estate to the table. Between messy relationships, broken friendships, fake friendships, and $40 million houses, the reality show quickly reached the top of Netflix’s charts and became a favorite around the world.
Romain, who had been offered a reality television position before, was curious about this opportunity and has now become a major asset to the show.
When living in France, Romain worked as a pastry chef. Though he has not worked as a chef for quite a few years now, it is a passion that is close to his heart. He decided to stop when he got offered a modeling job — thus prompting his move to Los Angeles.
Though the COVID-19 pandemic slowed down his modeling gigs, his modeling profile is a long one. Though he has modeled for various brands and magazines (his modeling range is evident when looking through his Wilhelmina portfolio), he is most known for modeling for a wide array of sports that includes soccer, swimming, archery, volleyball, boxing, and rock climbing.
Looking at how diverse his resumé is already, the list continues to grow. Now part of the Oppenheim Group, Romain works as part of the construction team as a project manager.
Mary Fitzgerald, now wife of Romain, describes him as “a great leader and an incredibly hard worker.”
His newly acquired construction and project manager skills have come in handy to him and his wife. In Season 4 of the famed show, Selling Sunset, Romain and Mary are going to flip a house together. Romain was particularly excited about this opportunity as he was able to use his remodeling skills that he has learned by being part of The Oppenheim Group.
Not only does he have baker, model, and reality television star on his list of careers, but he can add social media influencer to that list too.
With over 287 thousand followers on Instagram, Romain has become a popular, well known face in the industry. With photos portraying his modeling skills, exciting adventures with his Oppenheim Group friends and colleagues, red carpet photos with his wife, and plenty of jealousy-inducing traveling photos, Romain’s popularity is growing everyday and will positively continue to grow over the years.
With seasons 4 and 5 of Selling Sunset coming out soon, fans cannot wait to see what he will do and say (as he is known for his brutally honest remarks), and they cannot wait to fall even deeper in love with the baker turned project manager.
