Last Friday, genre-bending alt hip-hop artist, yung van, dropped the first single, “Something’s in the Way” (featuring guardin), from his upcoming album “Goblin Kid,” which is currently blowing up streaming services. Now, he’s back with fellow collaborator guardin to release a self-shot video for the track. Watch it here: https://youtu.be/hyYwjL99KKQ
Commenting on the video for “Something’s in the Way,” yung van states:
“guardin and I hadn’t released a song together in 2 years so we were super excited about this. The idea of making a music video felt right, so we just filmed it ourselves!”
“It was crazy cause we had Facetimed for a few hours talking about what we wanted to do for the video & not even two weeks later, we came together & brought it to life.”
Yung van’s second, full-length album, “Goblin Kid,” will be released digitally and on CD and limited edition vinyl on July 30th.

As a follow up to “Blackwater,” his 2019 debut album, “Goblin Kid” continues to use yung van’s trademark melodic rap and alternative style to take listeners on an emotional journey – from pain and trauma to the difficulty of living with loss.
Becoming an underground force in 2017 with the release of his breakout single, “I Waited On You, You Never Came,” yung van’s music has garnered nearly 25M streams across platforms.
“Goblin Kid” is being released on July 30th via Acid Castle (logo HERE), a collective which includes guardin, Flowars, yesterday, Qawi Kamri, thebreathingbackwards, among others.
