Meet India’s Youngest Taekwondo Athlete: Atul Raghav

We all truly understand how challenging the corona virus pandemic has been for a lot of people around us, especially athletic people who really want to stay fit and updated with the present world scenario and go outside on a regular basis to make sure that they stay fit. However, even during the pandemic, some very efficient athletes have already established themselves in making a particular place for themselves in different establishments.

The Sports Authority of India was basically conducting a 3 day selection trials, it began on 21st may and ended on 23rd itself at the Sports Authority of India which is located in the Lucknow regional centre. Basically, this was meant for the sports selection from various categories, even including the very popular Taekwondo sport.

Indeed, from among a lot of people that came to compete and to prove their true talents, only 8 male and eight female members were selected for the Asian games, it was quite a tough competition and only the best who were capable were selected. Atul Raghav, an Indian player, missed the Asian qualifications meant for Asian games but qualifies for the Heroes Cupwhich are going to be held in 2021 Bangkok Thailand.

However, that was not the only achievement for Atul Raghav, since he is a very far fetched player. He had achieved many great achievements at different level.

Previously, Atul Raghav came into the limelight after he made his debut in the G to fujairah Dubai 2020, because he became the youngest player to participate in the G rank championship. They had a lot of people there, around 1600 athletes that came over from 43 countries, including the 400 players who came from UAE itself, they were believed to be pretty strong and efficient. Actually after the headquarter in South Korea announced that they’re going to upgrade and rank it G2, it became all the more important for so many international players.

Since the very beginning Atul Raghav has been focused on his career, and he has also represented his hometown and school in international championships, surpassing all the district, state and even national levels. Qualifying as one of the best Taekwondo players, Atul Raghav has proven himself to be the best from not just his district Ghaziabad, but also for India as a whole.
