bUDi releases track and video for ‘Jambo’

The House of Trade Record Collective is presenting the single ‘JAMBO’ from this upcoming release with a video compiled from Dourado’s cellphone camera archives ~ a sort of frst person ode to the road, travelling, community, friends and family. We reunite with fan favourites Aquakultre, Fiver and the Atlantic School of Spontaneous Composition, the BiG bUDi band, BAHNAHNAH and loads of others staples from the canadian music touring circuit and the Halifax music scene.

Jambo is a Swahili word that was used by traders on the Erythraean Seas when they were ready to pay of their debts. It later was used to refer to the colonial lord, then slowly became a colloquial greeting. Here, we welcome the listener to delight in a steppenwolf-from-the-global-south type classic rock number that imagines a trio jamming until the break of dawn while a pair of feline saxophones complain to each other on the fence outside.
