San Bernardino native rapper Jay Furr released his new single, “Suicide”, featuring Fenix Flexin, and the official music video, directed by SHOTBYLATE. The tiptop track features flossy freestyle verses over a thumping beat and adds personality to the two rappers’ incredible catalogs of music. “Suicide” is the lead single for his upcoming mixtape, King Furr, which releases on May 20th.
For Jay Furr, he doesn’t always take himself too seriously when it comes to songwriting. He finds himself doing his best when there aren’t too many expectations when hopping in the studio – and that’s exactly what he did: have fun with the homie and make some dope music.
With no particular intent or messaging in mind, Jay Furr teamed up with Fenix Flexin for their new collaborative freestyle single, “Suicide”, rather spontaneously. Just as with most hits, the two cut the track in one-take after linking up in the studio and hearing the unique beat.
“For me, ‘Suicide’ didn’t exactly have a significant meaning. It was just a banger Fenix and I put together while we were having fun doing what we do in the studio, so I’m excited to see the reception and how our fans react to it.”
