CD REVIEW: Electric Treatment Free’s Self-Titled Album

We’re here to provide the world with an introduction to new Ottawa-based Experimental Electronic musician Electric Treatment Free and their self-titled debut, “Electric Treatment Free”.

This first release embraces a multi-genre terrain of adventure and self discovery, hence the title of the album. It’s able to combine diverse musical techniques and genres to create an electric-acoustic sound that is idiosyncratic yet readily accessible.

This artist from Ottawa, Canada makes a collection of sounds that feels very much influenced by the fast-paced, LED-soaked cityscape of Tokyo or Hong Kong. A kind of fractured yet symbiotic ballet takes place with muffled transmissions popping in and out as signposts along the way.

This self-titled EP will bend you, willingly or not, in directions you might not have expected to explore and many will find themselves in unfamiliar territory.

Electric Treatment Free is definitely one for experimentation and you’re going to have to open your mind if you want to gain anything from this EP. The constant change of flow can be jarring but there are some good ideas in there amongst all the chaos.

The thing about chaos, we’re masters of chaos and there’s always a brighter day after chaos.

We’re really trying to set the tone of debut albums by bringing along Electric Treatment Free to be featured with us today. 2021 is all about becoming something you’re not used to and get out of your comfort zone to find out who you really are.

Take the chaos and the guidance to unfamiliar territory as an adventure within yourself. Give yourself the freedom to roam by listening to Electric Treatment Free’s self-titled album, “Electric Treatment Free” a listen by following the link below.
