SINGLE REVIEW: Last by Louise Aubrie

Check out this Indie Rock goddess Louise Aubrie and the release of her newest single, “Last”. “Last” is the first single released from her soon-to-be released studio album, “Antonio”, which is due out October 15, 2021.

Louise Aubrie is finally hitting her form, pumping out hooky, melodic tracks that cut straight to the point. That’s all we can really ask for from our artists, give it to us straight and stop beating around the bush.

“Last” is able to tie the whole album together by quoting all nine tracks. That’s a pretty cool concept to think about when it’s the first track being released. The track itself is a teaser for the rest of the album. Pretty genius in our opinion.

Written and sung by Louise, “Last” was produced by Andy Woodard, who plays bass and drums on the track, and features Frank Horovitch (guitar), Boz Boorer (guitar, keys, percussion), and Roger Joseph Manning Jr. on keyboards.

“Last” opens on potent, gleaming guitars riding a tight, propelling rhythm as Louise’s lusciously deluxe voice imbues the lyrics with tasty, effervescent timbres laced with tints of pop energy. Jangly guitar accents, reminiscent of The Go-Go’s merge with punchy platinum textures, infusing the tune with vibrant, pushing harmonics.

“Last” is like a rollercoaster ride that’s one sheer drop. The song comes in with high energy and doesn’t let up until it’s completed.

Take a chance on “Last” and tell us what you think about Louise Aubrie below with some of her other stuff until her single is released.
